This G-SHOCK G-LIDE model, GAX-100B-1ADR, is designed for surfers and street sports athletes. It combines analog and digital formats with large hour markers and hands for easy reading, even while active in the water. Key surfing-oriented functions include a Tide Graph (analog dial shows tide level), Moon Data (age and phase graph), and Temperature measurement.
Core G-SHOCK features include Mineral Glass, Magnetic Resistance (ISO764 class), Shock Resistance, and 200-meter water resistance. The case, bezel, and band are made of Resin. An Amber LED light with auto switch and selectable duration provides illumination.
The watch includes a thermometer with a display range of –10 to 60°C (14 to 140°F). World time covers 29 time zones (48 cities + UTC) with DST on/off and city swapping. It features a 1/100-second stopwatch (up to 999:59'59.99''), a countdown timer (24-hour range), 5 daily alarms (1 snooze), an hourly time signal, a full auto-calendar (to 2099), 12/24-hour format, and button tone on/off.
Timekeeping uses analog hands (hour, minute) and a digital display (hour, minute, second, pm, month, date, day).
